With a full charge, the 3eV is capable of completing 30 full 3-minute cycles. If you use the device 4x per day, it will last you over 1 week on a single charge. Keep in mind, if you use the internal USB charger to charge your devices, the battery life will be shortened considerably.

Charge your Blue Box UV using the USB-C charging cable included in the box. Simply plug it into your computer, or USB wall charger to charge the internal battery.

Customers in the USA and Canada can expect their orders to arrive in 4-7 days. All orders are usually processed within 1 business day at our fulfillment centre in Pennsylvania. Customers outside of North America can expect their orders to arrive within 7- 14 days. Tracking numbers will be provided 1-2 days after the order is placed.

Only the CDC has access to the novel strain of the virus, so we do not currently have a way to test our sanitizer's effectiveness against COVID19. "All bacteria and viruses tested to date (many hundreds over the years, including other coronaviruses) respond to UV disinfection" according to the International Ultaviolet Association (IUVA).

This is a tricky one. Yes, you can, but we do not recommend using the Blue Box UV to disinfect facemasks. UVC can only kill microbes on the surface. Phones, glasses, and keys are easily sanitized in the Blue Box UV because they are made up of non-porous surfaces. Face masks are made of textured fabrics that can trap microbes deep within the woven materials, and can potentially hide from UVC rays. UVC rays can only kill what they can reach. 

Hospitals have actually started using UVC to disinfect N95 masks and other PPE, but usually in conjunction with other disinfection methods such as Hydrogen Peroxide Vapor (HPV) and Microwave Generated Steam (MGS). 

Yes, the Blue Box UV is designed to be as safe as possible while still being easy to use. UVC light is powerful and can damage eyes and skin permanently so we urge you to use caution when operating the Blue Box UV. 

We work with ShipBob to fulfill all orders. They've been fantastic at staying safe while minimizing the impact of shipping delays caused by COVID-19. The Blue Box UV is shipped from ShipBob's Pennsylvania fulfilment centre here in the United States. 

Nope! The device is designed to minimize the risk of exposing your eyes or skin to UVC. When the lid is opened, the Blue Box UV automatically powers down. If the lid is open, you are unable to turn on the unit.
